In the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan, police officers forcefully take wheat collected by farmers which exceeds the quota set by the state.

The farmer has the right to keep surplus wheat for himself, but in June 2018 the state has illegally confiscated surplus wheat from farmers throughout the country.

According to the farmers, the authorities unjustifiably increased the rate of delivery of wheat from each hectare of land for the first time in fifteen years.
